It’s time to provide an update of what Team Pedal Moraine has accomplished so far in 2010. The “primarily” mountain bike racing team’s main focus is the 12-race Wisconsin Off road Series (WORS). As a team, we registered 26 members into the WORS Team Competition in the Unlimited Division (based on size > 21). So far this year we have most of our members participating at each race with many finishing on the podium. This commitment to racing has made us very competitive in both the WORS team and individual race categories (currently 2nd overall).
The WORS series is only part of what the team participates in. Other events included Road and Cyclocross Racing, Charity Rides, and the Wisconsin Endurance Mountain Bike Series (WEMS). TPM put on its own race in the WEMS series on May 22nd; 12 Hours at Northern Kettles. This race was not only a fund raiser but also supported the trail system and a local trail advocate group named “Friends of the Forest”. Our members contributed an estimate of 300 volunteer hours so far this season for the support of this race, trail maintenance, and other team functions.
Thanks to everyone that has made Team Pedal Moraine a success in 2010. This includes our team sponsors, captains, and members. Another great year with more excitement being planned for 2011.
